Westfield Sport Turbo Tuning
Westfield Sport Turbo
The new Westfield Sport Turbo runs the Z16LER 1.6 16v DOHC Turbo engine as used in the Corsa VXR, fitted with OE Bosch engine management. An engine we are extremely familiar with. Using our knowledge base and experience from developing ecu software for the Corsa VXR, we have been able to transfer this to develop new ecu software for the Westfield Sport Turbo. In a car weighing in at a mere 650kgs, with room to reduce weight, an increase in power and torque makes for massive fun and driveability.

Westfield Sport Turbo Tuning Packages

All our Westfield Sport Turbo remapping is carried out serially, through the OBD II/diagnostic port directly into the vehicle's ecu.
All our maps are bespoke written to suit our requirements. If your car does not fit into the categories listed, for example you have a different exhaust configuration, we can and will write a bespoke map and tailor it to your vehicle.

Fuel:

We recommend the use of Shell V-Power 99 RON, or a similar Super Unleaded fuel, on all remapped vehicles for optimum performance.

Courtenay Sport High Flow Front Pipe

The Z16LER turbo engine is fitted with 2 cats - a pre-cat and a main cat. Our performance front pipe replaces the original restrictive pre-cat. This is only required to be fitted to the vehicle up until the point of 1st registration, as the main cat still ensures the vehicle will meet all MOT emission regulations. The new front pipe is made in stainless steel, and by smoothing the bend radius and removing the cat, we have dramatically improved the flow through the unit. Our front pipe also features both a stainless steel 3 bolt flange and stainless steel spun end. Our performance front pipe will give a typical increase of around 6 - 8 bhp.

Courtenay Sport High Flow Reuseable Panel Filter

Courtenay Sport High Flow Panel Filter Our high flow, high efficiency air filter uses a special foam which gives better airflow than even the most popular cotton gauze aftermarket filters. Our filters offer the very highest level of dirt retention and protection (Of course! After all we're engine builders!) and you can clean it and re-use it just like most other performance filters.

Each filter is supplied pre-oiled and ready for first use. For cleaning, simply wash out the underside of the filter using warm water and washing up liquid until clean, rinse through from the top to the bottom of the filter, allow to dry and lightly re-oil before re-fitting. Filter oil is available seperately for subsequent re-oiling after cleaning.

NGK Iridium Spark Plugs

Ideal on standard or modified cars used for fast road or track use especially where engines may run warmer, we offer a spark plug upgrade. These iridium spark plugs are 'cooler running' and so able to dissipate more heat from the combustion chamber and produce a more efficient spark. £32 for a set of four.

Courtenay Sport Reinforced Silicone Inlet Hose

The Courtenay Sport inlet hose is designed as a direct replacement for the "OE" inlet hose. Superb integrity and superior performance reduces the risk of component failure whilst enabling higher temperature and pressures to be maintained. the reinforced inlet hose is made from 4-ply reinforced silicone so that the inlet hose (between the air filter/air flow meter & the turbo inlet) will not "suck flat" as a result of high suction/vacuum during full boost. The inlet hose has been redesigned & enlarged for improved air flow whist the inside reducing lip has been removed along with the inset bump on the front edge.

Available in Blue, Red, Black, Orange, Green, Yellow, Purple or White to match most exterior colours.

Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential

Quaife ATB LSD Click for Full Size Image The Quaife ATB differential for Westfield Sport Turbo. A direct replacement for the standard differential, the Quaife ATB differential transforms your car's performance, making getting the power down onto the road easier, for improved traction and driveability.

Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the ATB diff relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation. Because of this, the ATB differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. Rather, the differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree, and never locks.
The Quaife ATB differential has many benefits over a standard open differential, including maximising traction and minimizing wheelspin and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication.

Cool Running Thermostat

Cool Thermostats Our cool running thermostat reduces the engine's normal running temperature, protecting the engine by running it closer to it's optimum power temperature. The stat opens 10 degrees earlier than the standard OE item (82 degrees instead of 92 degrees) and is fully open 10 degrees earlier (97 degrees instead of 107 degrees). Ideal for modified cars for fast road and track work, they typically operate 4 - 5 degrees cooler thus reducing peak temperatures caused by sustained hard use. As used in Opel/GM products in warmer climates.

Courtenay Sport have teamed up with Cosworth and PEC to produce the highest quality grade of forged pistons available on the market to date for the Vauxhall/Opel 1.6 Turbo engine family - Z16LEx.

Fully forged 2618 low compression forged pistons will help breathe new life into your performance engine and give it an unparallelled level of strength and performance.

With 50 years of world class engine design and manufacturing experience, Cosworth's intimate knowledge of the interaction between the piston and other engine components gives them the distinct advantage in piston design resulting in the finest pistons available.

The piston is one of the most important components within the engine. It can be subjected to directional change up to 285 times every second and must withstand acceleration forces of 8500 G's. Cosworth high performance forged pistons are designed and engineered to withstand this type of punishment and still perform. All Cosworth pistons are manufactured using the same methods as their Formula One pistons and include features such as anti-scuff skirt coating, ultra strong pins, polished top and patented anti-detonation bands. Additionally, each application uses a unique forging to minimize weight and ensure the strongest possible piston.

    These uprated steel roads are manufactured from Certified SAE 4340 chrome-moly steel vacuumed to remove impurities, are shot peened to stress relieve the metal and have bronze gudgeon pin bushings are made to withstand higher impact force.     Z16LEH Exhaust Manifold

    New from Courtenay Sport, a high flow Z16LEH exhaust manifold.

    This cast manifold is manufactured in the same way as an Original Equipment (OE) manifold would be fabricated.

    The result is a turbocharger assembly for the 1.6 Turbo engine that is capable of flowing more air, thus producing more boost and therefore more power and torque.

    In fact our Z16LEH manifold has a 20% larger exhaust housing than the Z20LEH manifold and the wastegate aperture is also 20% bigger, so the Z16LEH manifold will offer much greater flow than the equivalent Z20LEH turbo manifold.

    It has been designed for the Vauxhall/Opel 1.6 Turbo Z16LEx/A16LEx engines - Z16LET, Z16LEL, Z16LER, A16LET as fitted to Corsa D VXR/OPC and SRi Turbo, Astra H Turbo, Meriva VXR/OPC and Insignia 1.6 Turbo to allow the fitment of the core turbo charger from the Astra VXR Z20LEH engine.

    It fits directly to the head as an OE 1.6 manifold will and the front pipe location is in the same location as the original - no exhaust adapter piece is required, so a standard pre-cat or a pre-cat replacement pipe will bolt straight on with no modification whatsoever. So this really is direct fit. Look closely at the images, and whilst this looks like a Z20LEH turbo, you will see the designation Z16LEH on the cast manifold for the 1.6 application.

    We have also made provision for the addition of an EGT probe into the manifold if required.
