Aussie Touring Car Look-Alike

One of our customers came to us with a road-going Vectra which had been made-over to look just like an Australian Holden Touring Car. The only problem was that the 2 litre 16 valve engine didn’t have the power to match the looks. The answer was obvious - a Courtenay Transplant! Out came the 2 litre and in went a 2.5 V6 lump along with all the ancillaries and diagnostic equipment that go with this engine. With a Courtenay Transplant the end result is so ‘natural’ that you can even take it to a Vauxhall main dealer for servicing (if you so wish) and all their diagnostic equipment will link up! The proud owner can now ‘Walk the Walk’ as well as ‘Talk the Talk’ |
Courtenay 2.0 16v Nova Turbo

Originally a 1.6 GTE, this car first had a CS15 head, Courtenay suspension and 14" LX style alloy wheels, a change from the factory option wheel. A 1.6 Turbo conversion was carried out in 1994, with a 15" wheel upgrade and rear disc conversion, and then in 1996 saw the colour change and the full 2.0 16v Turbo conversion, 16" wheels and 11.5" front discs. |
