KW Coilovers

To further enhance our chassis tuning packages above, for all serious fast road and track day use we recommend and upgrade to a KW coilover kit. 3 variant kits are available, which can be specified in place of direct repalcement spring and damper kits included above. For the ultimate set up our suggestion is the KW Variant 3 kit. Further details of these kits are here.

Rear Anti Roll Bar and Springs

Improving handling is not all about springs and/or dampers. There are other aspects of chassis tuning to consider, such as imprroving the car's ability corner. This can be hugely improved by fitting a rear anti-roll bar, thus stiffening up the rear end and greatly improving the car's rear end grip, and its road holding, eliminating the car's naturaly tendancy to understeer. Any car fitted with an uprated rear anti-roll bar will feel more 'alive' and fun to drive with much better levels of grip, without compromising on ride comfort. Without doubt this is the best modification that can be done for an Astra chassis.

Uprated Fast Road DAP Springs

To improve the ride and road holding of the Zafira VXR chassis, for fast road use we recommend the DAP road springs as offering the ultimate in ride and road holding. The car will benefit from a lowered and improved stance as these springs lower by approximately 15-20mm.

Eibach Springs

As an alternative for the Zafira VXR chassis, a set of Eibach springs is an excellent and effective way of achieving this, furthermore the car will benefit from a slightly loweredimproved stance. The Eibach Spring Kit lowers by approximately 10-15mm. £168.50

Strut Top Retaining Clips

On Zafira B the front damper has plastic Strut Top Retaining Clips (Damper Securing Rings) which snap on around the top of the damper to hold it in place in the suspension turret. These have to be removed when either fitting springs and or dampers. Being plastic they can be prone to snapping. Replacements are inexpensive and wrth having around if these jobs are being attempted. 4 required per car (2 halves for each damper)

M32 Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential

The Quaife ATB differential for M32 gearboxes. A direct replacement for the standard Vauxhall differential, the Quaife ATB differential transforms your car's performance, making getting the power down onto the road easier, for improved traction and driveability.

Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the ATB diff relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation. Because of this, the ATB differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. Rather, the differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree, and never locks.

The Quaife ATB differential has many benefits over a standard open differential, including maximising traction and minimizing wheelspin, eliminating torque steer and snatching in front wheel drive cars compared to conventional LSD units, and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication.

Valvoline SynPower TDL 75W-90 Gear Oil

We use Valvoline Fully Synthetic TDL 75w-90 Gearbox oil when fitting LSD's into Vauxhall gearboxes. In fact we recommend a change to a fully synthetic gearbox for all manual transmissions that are in good condition.

Uprated Engine Mounts

Uprated engine mounts for Astra H VXR/OPC by VibraTechnics. Available in Road/Trackday Spec and Race/Competition Spec. These mounts will greatly reduce the amount of engine movement under hard acceleration and braking, resulting in a sharper gear change and a 'tighter' feel to the car, ultimately improving grip, handling and turn in. Front - A complete insert requires the original insert to be pressed out for the new one to be fitted. Road/Trackday Spec approximately 3 times stiffer than OE, and Race Spec 10 times stiffer. Polyurethane Engine Mount Insert for Zafira B with M32 gearbox. The factory mount is prone to splitting, this mount sleeves into the original factory rubber engine to further stiffen the mount.

Made from Yellow Material 70 Shore Hardness suggested for Road Use or Black Material 95 Shore Hardness for Track work.

Polyurethane Bushes Road

Attention to the factory rubber bushes is beneficial. They are made to be flexible to some extent to absorb harshness, but as they age the original rubber loses its 'tone' and gets slacker. This allows the suspension system to move relative to the chassis so the car's handling and response become less sharp. The grade of polyurethane used in our uprated bushes is not so hard as to cause undue harshness, however they provide a big improvement over standard and they keep their 'tone' much longer than the original rubber, so the effect lasts longer.

Kits are available as Front and Rear axle sets, or as individual bushes if required.

Unlike the original bushes, Polyurethane Bushes require no special tools to fit and are therefore a relatively easy DIY proposition - or we can fit them for you if you prefer.

Purple Bushes are for road use and have a material shore harness of 80

Powerflex Black Series Suspension Bushes

There are a number of applications where chassis performance is the only consideration. For the ultimate in performance Powerflex introduce The Black Series. A new range of bushes developed for Race, Rally and Circuit use. Powerflex Black Series bushes are manufactured using a 95 Shore A compound to provide maximum control of chassis geometry. This compound can be up to 80% more resistant to load than standard rubber and 25% stiffer than the purple performance material which is 80 Shore material.
