2009 is our 25th Anniversary year of our involvement with tuning and modifying Vauxhall cars. We will be holding a celebratory event to commemorate our 25 years of tuning on Sunday 5th July, the full itinerary of which is well underway and the details of which will follow in due course. We would however like to hear from anyone who has a car of note from the last 25 years that we have modified who would like to be present on the day to form part our our past and present display. Having been asked many times we have finally made an inlet a pipe to remove the heavy transfer pipe fitted to Astra and Zafira Turbos. The pipe mimics the path first found and seen on the Cavalier & Calibra Turbo. It can be used with a cone filter, K&N Apollo, Viper or flowmaster Induction - style kit, or as shown with the 1.9 CDTi MK5 Astra airbox.
The kit consists of an inlet hose with integral moulded breather spigot, an airbox to air flow meter joiner hose, a breather hose and breather hose joiner. The inlet hose is 4 ply silicone for strength with a properly shaped fluoro lined breather hose. Most suited initially for the Z20LEH engine of the Astra and Zafira VXR, this kit will also fit any of the Z20LET/LEL/LER engines in Astra G/H and Zafira A/B when using an 80mm air flow meter and a suitable ecu remap (also available). Airbox also be available.

A technological breakthrough in terms of safe and dynamic driving through bends. A sensor patented by Hella takes but split seconds to measure the lateral acceleration and yaw rate, computes these readings, and actuates the DynaBeam headlight to output the right light for the right speed and direction. The entire headlight module assembly is able to swivel by up to 15 degrees. The basis of the dynamic directional headlights is a 70mm Bi-halogen projection module which is equipped with a powerful H7 halogen bulb. Bi-halogen means low beam and high beam from a single projection module, such that the advantages of improved bend illumination are also available when driving using |
| high beam. They provide almost double the width of illumination of the bend compared to conventional lighting offering much better visibility, and they will remove the fried egg indicator appearance of the factory non Xenon light unit. This headlamp works just like the Original Equipment AFL (Adaptive Forward Lighting) Factory Xenon lights with is swivel beams. It also incorporates the same reflector and projector light units as the "OE" xenon light so if you where to then fit an after market xenon (HID) system you will get the same light intensity and focused & controlled beam pattern generated by the projector beam unit. The kit is sourced for the UK Right Hand Drive market directly with Hella and includes: Both Right Hand Drive headlights and all bulbs, full plug and play wiring loom, headlight AFL ecu and fitting instructions. This kit safely removes the balancer shafts installed from the factory, and reduces internal power losses and enables the engine to rev more smoothly and briskly when the bottom end is lightened and balanced as part of an engine rebuild. We remove the balancer shafts as a matter of course when we carry out high power engine rebuilds. Now available from Courtenay Sport, the Quaife ATB differential for M32 gearboxes. A direct replacement for the standard Vauxhall differential, the Quaife ATB differential transforms your car's performance, making getting the power down onto the road easier, for improved traction and driveability. Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the ATB diff relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation. Because of this, the ATB differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. Rather, the differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree, and never locks. |

Stephan's Speedster Turbo breaks the 10 second barrier!
| Stephan Klasen, our mapping engineer, set himself a target to build an Opel Speedster turbo capable of running a quarter of a mile in less than 10 seconds. He has come close before at a fraction over 10 seconds. On Saturday the 1st of September he achieved his goal, after finding another 17 bhp from an already very powerful Z20LET engine. With some tweaks to the cam timing and increasing the air flow meter to a 100mm version, further mapping resulted in 602 BHP. The 1/4 mile time was 9.969 seconds at 143.77 mph. He also recorded an 1/8 mile time of 6.58 seconds at 116.00 mph See the video here......... Congratulations Stephan. Keep up the good work. |
